SOCIAL DANCING

ARE HELD ON A WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY EVENING.

Gilkisons has been Perth’s leading social studio for over 70 years. Providing all dancers with a studio offering a huge hard wood dance floor, largest and most up to date sound and lighting equipment to create a lively and fun environment for all.

Keeping with times and understanding everyone has different tastes, Gilkisons caters to all by playing a range of music from the roaring twenties to the latest top 20 hits.

No matter your skill level or if you have never taken a lesson before. Gilkisons Dance Studio brings everyone together, with the joy of music and dancing.

Gilkisons prides itself in creating a friendly, professional and safe place for anyone of any age and background to meet new people and practice your moves.

Gilkisons public social dance nights are open weekly on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening.

  • Open to all public ( 18+ only)
  • Social Commence:
    • Wednesday and Thursdays at 8:30pm – Late
    • Friday nights from 8:30pm until midnight
  • Wednesday and Thursday night dances are FREE entry to all
  • Friday nights have an admission fee of $18 per person,

  • Full licensed bar, offering beer, wine, spirit and a large choice of spirits.

Dress Code

Neat smart casual dress at all times. No torn clothes.

  • No work clothes or footwear. No singlets, tshirt [except dressy] or thongs
  • No Colours, bikie insignia, or patches at all times (as above)
  • No Dogs on the premises (except Seeing Eye dogs)

Recommended wear:

Comfortable footwear should be worn at all times. Specific Latin or Modern shoes are not necessary but are recommended for optimal dance results.

Ladies can either wear flats or heals whilst men are suggested to wear a casual dress shoe.
